Do you enjoy uncovering growth opportunities, leading on-site audits and working directly with other domains to carry out improvements? If yes, come join our SEO community of practice!
As an SEO specialist you will, help steer the search optimization of Best Buy Canada’s storefront and other digital touchpoints. You will lead optimization strategies, carry out regular reporting and support the other SEO specialists in their analysis and audit work.
We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative and social purposes.
What you’ll do:
Execute SEO strategies to acquire new customers while successfully achieving ROI goals within the Canadian eCommerce market
Perform targeted and thorough keyword research & content analyses and optimize site copy before it goes live for Best Buy’s content including category overviews, buying guides, brand stores, marketing pages, blogs, and feature articles
Mention the development and optimization of local SEO strategies beyond just listing management, such as local content creation and community engagement
Complete regular reporting and competitor analyses, and evaluate the impact of on-site optimizations
Keep up to date on SEO changes and best practices and expand on the use of AI and machine learning tools for deeper insights into keyword trends, user intent, and content performance
Build relationships with external stakeholders to raise awareness on our channel and our best practices
Liaise with Technology to develop new capabilities & optimizations
Proactively shares industry standards and best practices to other domains and stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
3+ years of experience with SEO/eCommerce at mid-large organization(s)
Expertise in optimizing websites and the ability to articulate this to stakeholders
Strong data analysis skills, and the ability to translate data into actions
Experience with Google and/or Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush and content management systems
