The Program Manager, Canada will be responsible for sourcing, partnering with and working with suppliers in the US & Canada region. The successful candidate will build relations with partners & suppliers with a focus on what Kongsberg needs to do to compliantly deliver government programs.
Key Accountabilities
- Work with GSM on contract negotiation, budget setting & project handover
- Responsible for Project Schedule Maintenance including creating long- and short-term plans, setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources
- Work with KM finance to establish and update revenue milestones and participate in EAC (Estimate At Completion) Reviews
- Participate in and present at program business reviews including presenting project progress, CPIs, SPIs, EVM other KPIs and updated risks/opportunities
- Working with the Product Centres and Supply Chain team to ensure compliant on time delivery
- Work with GSC/PCs on commissioning requirements and other build requirements
- Identifying and managing potential risks and liabilities of multiple projects and hold risk reviews
- Negotiating project scope creep and change management with the customer
- Manage contract disputes
Qualifications and Experience:
- 4 year degree preferably in Engineering or Business Management. PMP Certification or Equivalent.
- 4-10 years experience Project Management
- Shipbuilding & Operations Industry Knowledge is essential
- Customer facing/relationship management is essential
- US government contracting or program management experience preferred
