Manchester City face an anxious wait over Erling Haaland’s fitness, as the Norwegian striker was seen leaving the Vitality Stadium in a protective boot.

This comes after he picked up an ankle injury in their FA Cup quarter-final victory over Bournemouth.

Haaland, who has already netted 30 goals this season, scored and missed a penalty before being substituted just past the hour mark, replaced by match-winner Omar Marmoush.

His exit raised concerns, especially after he was later spotted hobbling on crutches towards City’s team bus.

With City still chasing silverware, fans fear a worst-case scenario, with speculation rife about whether Haaland’s season could be over.

The club has yet to confirm the extent of the injury, but Pep Guardiola will be hoping his star striker can recover in time for crucial clashes against Leicester and Manchester United in the coming week.
