Meridian Business Support are recruiting for a Quality Manager to work within the Health and Safety team at their site premises based in Newcastle under Lyme.
About the Role
As the Quality Manager you will be managing a team of five to maintain and improve the management of Quality, Environmental & Health & Safety systems (incorporating the management of AS9100, 9001, 13485, 14001 & 45001). Daily interface with manufacturing & other areas of the business where required.
Main responsibilities:
- Health & Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement champion
- Management of ISO accreditations in line with statutory requirements
- Management of audits (internal & external)
- Manage, develop & mentor your team in line with the business requirements
- Customer engagement: management of corrective actions from initial reporting to completion
- Supplier engagement: management of supplier performance (On Time Delivery & Quality performance)
- Health & safety: maintain and improve established systems (risk assessments, COSSH, accident reporting etc)
- As a member of the Management team you will be expected to participate in meetings & events
- Management of data (analysis) and associated systems and the generation of reports (where applicable)
- Maintain established systems (Control, Visual and Mango)
- Promote the utilisation of Quality Tools (8D etc)
- Occasional travel to customer, supplier and other site facilities
- Liaise and coordinate training with other members of the management team
- Liaise with other members of the Group as and when required

Essential
Previous and demonstrable experience in a manufacturing quality management role
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent attention to detail
Proven track record in the management of ISO standards
IOSH trained (managing safely)
Experience of managing a small team
Good understanding of IT based systems
Willing to continuously learn and develop
Full Driving License
Desirable
Manufacturing/engineering HNC qualification or similar
Experience of working in an electronics manufacturing environment
Understanding of 45001 & 14001 management systems
Knowledge of PPAPS & FAIRs (Production Parts Approval Process Systems & First Article Inspection Reports)

Hours: 39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday – 8.5 hours
Friday – 5 hours
Salary: £48,000 – £52,000
