Paris Saint-Germain lifted the Coupe de France in dominant fashion with a 3-0 win over Stade Reims on Saturday night, but the celebration was marred by a worrying development regarding winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia just a week before the Champions League final.

Bradley Barcola’s brace and an Achraf Hakimi strike sealed a comprehensive victory at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, securing PSG’s third domestic trophy this season after Ligue 1 and the Trophée des Champions, putting them on the brink of a historic treble.

However, the night took a concerning turn when Kvaratskhelia, originally named in the starting XI, was pulled from the lineup and replaced by Desiré Doué.

RMC Sport reports that the Georgian’s condition worsened prior to kickoff, prompting the club to send him home before full-time.

The timing couldn’t be worse. PSG face Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League Final in Munich next Saturday, a match that could define their season.

The 23-year-old former Napoli star has been instrumental since joining PSG, and his potential absence against the Serie A giants would be a major blow.

Ironically, Kvaratskhelia still walks away from this campaign with silverware on two fronts, a Scudetto medal with Napoli and a Ligue 1 title with PSG, but uncertainty looms as the French champions prepare for their biggest game yet.
