<p>Amid ongoing killings in Plateau and Benue states, Nigerians have resurfaced an old tweet by <strong>President Bola Ahmed Tinubu</strong>, posted during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s tenure, criticizing the government’s handling of insecurity.</p>
<p>The tweet, dated January 29, 2014, condemned the slaughter of Christian worshippers under <strong>Jonathan’s</strong> watch.</p>
<p>Tinubu had tweeted:</p>
<p><em>“The slaughtering of Christian worshippers is strongly condemnable. It calls to question the competence of Jonathan to protect Nigerians.”</em></p>
<p>Now, over a decade later, citizens are drawing comparisons between past and present, questioning President Tinubu’s ability to manage the country’s worsening security situation, especially as similar killings continue to rock the nation.</p>
<p>Many Nigerians have taken to social media, pointing out the irony in Tinubu’s old criticism.</p>
<p>They argue that the same insecurity he once slammed Jonathan for appears to be thriving under his own administration.</p>
