<p><a target="_blank" href="http://gistreel.com/tag/Brittany-Renner"><strong>Brittany Renner</strong></a> has confirmed that she and rapper <a target="_blank" href="http://gistreel.com/tag/Kevin-Gates"><strong>Kevin Gates</strong></a> are officially <strong>divorced</strong>—just 52 days after getting married.</p>
<p>Speaking in a newly released interview with DJ Bootleg Kev on Los Angeles radio station REAL 92.3, the Basketball Wives star revealed they tied the knot on April 6 but separated on May 28.</p>
<p>Renner, who is a devout Muslim, explained that she is currently observing a 90-day reconciliation period in accordance with Islamic law to determine whether the marriage can be salvaged.</p>
<p><em>“I followed my heart, and that’s more than what most people can say in this world</em>,” the 33-year-old said. “<em>I have no shame in that.”</em></p>
<p>She emphasized that she has no regrets about the brief union, saying the experience has given her time to reconnect with herself.</p>
<p>“<em>The divorce wasn’t planned</em>,” she added. “<em>But I don’t feel like it’s a sucky situation because what is meant to be is always going to be. I gave 100 percent [in the marriage]. All is well.”</em></p>
<p>As of now, Kevin Gates has not publicly addressed their split.</p>
