Barcelona manager Hansi Flick reportedly prefers signing Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman over Liverpool’s Luis Díaz.
This comes as the Catalan club look to strengthen it attack in the summer.
Lookman, 27, has been a key figure for Atalanta, contributing 50 goals and 22 assists in 111 appearances across all competitions.
His performances have attracted interest from top European clubs, including Barcelona and Liverpool.
Last summer, Lookman was linked with a move away from Atalanta, with Paris Saint-Germain showing strong interest, but a deal never materialized.
Now, with Barcelona’s attack in need of reinforcements, Flick sees the Nigerian winger as an ideal fit for his high-intensity playing style.
However, Barcelona’s financial struggles could complicate negotiations.
Lookman is valued between €60 million and €70 million, and Atalanta may not accept a staggered payment structure, which the Blaugrana are likely to propose.
Despite this, both clubs could still reach an agreement if Barcelona can find a feasible financial solution.
Aside from Barcelona, Lookman has also been linked with a return to the Premier League, with Arsenal reportedly interested.
However, his previous stints in England were underwhelming, and a move to La Liga could offer a fresh start in a system that suits his attacking instincts.
