The mother of Nigerian music star Ayra Starr has encouraged women aged 40 and above to join TikTok, emphasizing the positive impact it has had on her mental well-being and creativity.
In a recent video shared on her page, Ayra Starr’s mum, who proudly calls herself a “Gen Z mummy”, expressed her gratitude for the platform.
She noted that the video-sharing platform has changed her perspective on life and kept her active and engaged more than she imagined.
“I am so grateful and privileged to be on TikTok. Thank you for your love and kindness. If your mum is between 40, 50, and 60, encourage them to be on TikTok because it helps them mentally.
“I am on TikTok now, and my thinking is different than before. I am always thinking of creativity, how I want to look, dress, and create new things. Let them come and teach us their experiences. They don’t have to dance like me,” she stated.
