Job Purpose:
- To support the delivery of the UK Marketing strategy, of which event activation is a key component.
- Be an active member of the UK Marketing team, participate in the sharing of ideas and build an understanding of the overall marketing plan for the channel as a whole and all its activities.
- To maximise the ROI of event spend, deliver events that actively drive business growth, and support the marketing lead generation programme
Responsibilities:
- To work with UK Marketing Managers and Head of UK to build an event strategy that is fully integrated to the wider Marketing plan and directly supports in driving revenue targets.
- Activate the UK Marketing strategy by delivering key/ strategically selected in person/ online initiatives such as events and webcasts, which includes:
- End to end ownership of discrete event and webcast delivery (on time, on budget, that meet and exceed expectations), including preparation of event materials e.g. compliance of presentations, writing of promotional copy etc.
- Management of discrete event budgets ensuring the effective deployment of spend and assessing all events for their ROI to gauge success and, future participation.
- Effective stakeholder management – develop strong relationships with sales and UK Marketing Managers to ensure event delivery is embedded in the Marketing and Sales strategy, and value has been maximized.
- Where necessary, working with external agencies to support on the delivery of larger events, and managing the agency accordingly.
- Travelling to on-site inspections and project managing events.
- Proactively seeking out and proposing in person initiatives/ events that will support the UK strategy for consideration into part of the wider UK Marketing strategy delivery.
- Provide management information on events to provide insight on spend, ROI, recommendations on future initiatives and strategy.
- Initiate and manage the RFP process for any large external agency spend on a regular basis (every 2 years) to ensure value for money and effective event delivery.
- Work with GDDI to ensure any feeds into and out of Salesforce are accurate and meet broader data requirements a set by GDDI.
- Ensure that best practice and regulatory standards are being maintained at all times including working closely with Compliance to understand regulatory requirements for reviewing and approving UK materials, for example presentations.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the product offering, through participating in relevant internal meetings, attending industry events if appropriate and reading relevant internal and market research.

Academic/Professional Qualifications (or equivalent qualifiers)
- Preferably Degree Educated
