A transwoman in the United States has lamented after receiving an email showing that her gender has been changed from female to male.
The transwoman who was born a man but changed his gender to a woman shared a video complaining about how his gender has been reversed in his passport.
This new change occurred after the current president, Donald Trump signed a policy canceling cross-dressing, transgenders while emphasizing that a man will be referred to as a male and a woman a female.
In the video shared by the transwoman, named Perysian Zaya Mekhi, it showed that his passport bio page, showing her photo dressed as a woman was changed to “M”.
She said: “In case you’re wondering what it’s like being transgender under this new administration, I just got my new passport in the mail and they changed the gender to male because of Donald Trump.”
She added that all of her other documents identify her as female and she has been fully surgically altered to become female.
They wrote to her: “The sex was corrected on your passport application. The changes were made for one of the following reasons: to match our record.”
Zaya stated that the only record that ever identified her as male was a passport she had when she was much younger.
“So, basically it doesn’t matter that all of my other documents say female and that I’ve had my s£x change surgery, if you’ve had a passport in the past that displays the opposite s£x, then they will not honor your gender change,” she explained.
“I will be seeking legal action,” she added.
She continued: “Because, look, I’m an adult and I’ve undergone my full medical transition. There is nothing about me anymore that represents male on the exterior whatsoever.”
