<p>A former Director-General of Peter Obi’s 2023 presidential campaign council, <strong>Doyin Okupe</strong>, has stated that the South West region will no longer remain passive while individuals insult President Bola Tinubu.</p>
<p>Okupe emphasized the need for unity and respect within the political discourse, suggesting that the region will actively defend the presidency against derogatory remarks.</p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">According to him, <strong>Tinubu</strong> is the apple in the eyes of the people of the South West and must not be spoken about disdainfully.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">He stated this while appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><em><span class="s1">“From now on, we are no longer going to keep quiet for people who think they can just insult Bola Tinubu,” he said.</span></em></p>
<p class="p1"><em><span class="s1">“Tinubu from the South West is the apple of our eyes. He is not doing wrong. If things are not looking well(now) they’ll look well because we know him.”</span></em></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Millions of Nigerians are currently in pain as a result of the policies of the <strong>Tinubu administration but Okupe feels there is no reason for anyone to complain</strong>.</span></p>
