This is an exciting opportunity for a teaching fellow with teaching experience in Health Psychology to join the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King’s College London (KCL).
The post-holder will be expected to contribute specialist teaching and research supervision on our accredited MSc Health Psychology programme. The role includes marking and personal tutor responsibilities. The successful applicant will have experience of teaching health psychology to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

This contract will be offered on a full time, fixed-term contract (Maternity cover) for 10 months.
Key responsibilities
Academic (teaching and assessment)
- Contribute specialist teaching on our accredited MSc Health Psychology programme, including module leadership
- Contribute to the ongoing development and design of the curriculum, in a manner that supports an innovative and research-led approach to student learning
- Assist with formative and summative assessments, including marking, and moderation of assignments
- Take responsibility for dealing with student feedback and issues relating to individual teaching
- Act as a personal tutor
**Additional responsibilities **
- Undertake any other reasonable duties that may be requested by the Line Manager and/or Head of Department.
- Identify and undertake activities to develop individual research interests, including contribution to joint projects within the Faculty/Department, or with external collaborators, where appropriate
- Participate in personal and professional development activities where appropriate
- Adhere to KCL guidelines and encourage best practice in diversity and inclusion

Skills, knowledge, and experience
Essential criteria
1. First degree in Psychology or related subject (2:1 or above)
2. MSc in Health Psychology or closely related area
3. Ability to develop and use complex multi-media materials for presentations to students, in public, professional and academic meetings
4. Experience of teaching undergraduate or postgraduate psychology in a University environment, including marking and providing feedback on a range of assessment activities
5. Experience of delivering teaching, in applied health psychology or a related area, to Undergraduate and/or Postgraduate students
Desirable criteria
1. PhD or equivalent in Health psychology, or related subject
2. Higher Education teaching qualification (e.g. PGCAPHE or PGCHE)
3. Experience in leading modules on a MSc Health Psychology or similar programme, including online provision
