Job Overview

The local marketing senior manager will be part of a team driving one of T-Mobile’s top priorities of increasing T-Mobile share within opportunity markets. This senior manager will lead two specific initiatives to improve perception of the T-Mobile brand and grow consideration: Hometown Grants and marketing planning and execution for new store openings. Hometown Grants is a program T-Mobile launched in 2021 to build relationships within smaller, rural communities that are not as familiar with the T-Mobile brand. Non -profit organizations are encouraged to apply for a chance at grants that are awarded on a quarterly basis. This marketing expert will work with cross-functional partners to promote the Hometown Grant program, build relationships between local T-Mobile leaders and the communities we serve, and use the program to drive WOM and grow consideration for the T-Mobile brand. This person will also be responsible for managing and maintaining our new store opening marketing activities, working closely with our consumer sales partners to ensure each new store receives event kits, executes grand opening activities and plans a PR and paid media plan. Strong cross-functional collaboration and executive influence will be key skills to ensure the opportunity market objectives are achieved.

**This role is located in Bellevue, WA and has a minimum three day in office hybrid work schedule

Responsibilities

  • Lead and collaborate with consumer sales partners on improving local T-Mobile leaders involvement with Hometown Grants, encourage engagement to grow relationship within the community for store leaders, T-Mobile for Business leaders and find opportunities for earned media.
  • Work closely with external vendor and internal groups to sort, review and approve applications for Hometown Grant program.
  • Responsible for development of WOM marketing strategy and execution across target markets. See opportunities to increase brand recognition and grow consideration using expansion of the T-Mobile brand through Hometown Grants and new store openings.
  • Partner closely with media team to plan out schedule and media channels to support new stores as they open.
  • Lead and collaborate with lines of business and segments (Postpaid, Prepaid, Emerging, T-Mobile for Business, military and 55+) to best leverage direct tactics to increase acquisition demonstrating key initiatives.
  • Lead all marketing messages associated with Hometown Grants and new stores opening within our retail and web channels.
  • Provide regular performance readouts.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years marketing experience with demonstrated success leading cross functional teams with daring initiatives
  • Consummate marketer skilled in traditional marketing practices and brand storytelling; able to blend business performance and customer insights to inspire compelling marketing campaigns
  • Ability to build target audience personas using market and consumer insights, find opportunities to reach key segments.
  • Validated leader in delivering marketing strategies, integrated marketing plans and briefs across creative, media, PR and go-to-market functions
  • Expertise in marketing channels, executional and production realities and impacts
  • Communications are eloquent and effective with T-Mobile executives
  • Familiarity with databases and reporting systems, able to analyze data to tease out insights on performance and provide context to shape marketing strategy
  • Wireless experience a plus
  • Willingness to travel for a few days each quarter in support of grant award events
  • Segment or local marketing experience preferred
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Washington Pay Range : $133,600.00 – $180,700.00

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
