<p> Location: Canadian Coast Guard, James Bay</p>
<p> Reports to: Site Supervisor</p>
<p> Shifts: 15:00-23:00 and 23:00-0700 (Rotating- 5 on/3 off, 5 on/2 off)</p>
<p> Wage: $19.00/hr plus RRSP</p>
<p> <b>Job Responsibilities</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>Provide access control, ID checks and regular security foot patrols.</li>
<li>Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts.</li>
<li>Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures.</li>
<li>Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisor.</li>
<li>Possess excellent multi-tasking, problem solving, prioritizing and organizational abilities.</li>
<li>Have knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.</li>
<li>Use a cell phone and write incident reports as needed.</li>
<li>Perform all duties with high safety standards.</li>
</ul>
<p> <b>Qualifications and Experience</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>Have or be able to obtain a Government of Canada level II (Secret) security clearance</li>
<li>Must have a valid BC Security License</li>
<li>Must be physically fit and able to walk patrols.</li>
<li>Must be able to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift.</li>
<li>Must be fluent in the English language &#8211; written, verbal and reading skills.</li>
<li>Have excellent attention to detail and incident report writing skills.</li>
<li>Have excellent problem solving skills with an ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner.</li>
<li>Have the ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.</li>
<li>Have superior customer service skills.</li>
