We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic, and detailed oriented professional to join River Rock Casino Resort as part of the Reservation team. The Reservation Agent will be responsible for the promotion, sales and booking of hotel accommodations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Responds to all communications directed to the Reservations Office
- Quotes rates and reserves guest rooms
- Provides travel information, local tourism information and attractions
- Provides information on the resort: upcoming shows, special events and promotions
- Makes every effort to promotes hotel packages including all areas of the resort
- Makes every effort to cross sell and promote all Great Canadian Gaming Corporation properties
- Up-sells to increase revenues
- Explains all policies of the Resort.
- Sends out confirmation notices; accepts payment and gives refunds
- Handles group inquiries or forwards to Sales
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and employees
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma; Post-Secondary hospitality or hotel education or suitable combination of education and experience
- Minimum 1 year reservations experience
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- Computer literacy in MS Office, Opera/Fidelio an asset
- Serving It Right Certification or the ability to achieve a Serving It Right Certification
- A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests
- A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development
- A passion for providing Great Experiences and Memories to our internal and external guests in the continual quest of achieving service excellence
