Our client is a global healthcare leader, creating breakthrough science to improve people’s health. They’re always looking towards the future, anticipating changes in medical science and technology. They have a broad portfolio of products which includes nutrition, diagnostic systems and tests, vascular devices, blood glucose monitoring systems, and veterinary care. An exciting new opportunity is available for a Regulatory Affairs Manager working within their Nutrition division, based from their Maidenhead office. Their nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. You will be responsible for developing and implementing regulatory strategy for registration and reimbursement of new institutional products and for placing on the market of out-of-pocket products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Development of regulatory strategies for product approval and launch as per business needs
  • Negotiate with regulatory and reimbursement authorities during the review process to ensure approval
  • Provide regulatory support to commercial division
  • Approval of labels, advertising and promo materials ensuring alignment with local regulations, Codes of Conduct, SOPs, etc
  • Ensure implementation of new regulations within legal deadlines
  • Monitor emerging issues on process for product placing on the market and identify solutions
  • Develop a network of relevant regulators, key opinion leaders and industry peers
  • Assess and communicate impact of relevant global regulations/standards in local market
  • Manage Regulatory implications of developments linked to retainment or divergence versus EU regulations after Brexit

Required skills and experience:

  • Experience in a similar role within the UK with, ideally with EMEA responsibilities
  • Current/previous experience working with nutrition/food supplements essential
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in science preferred
  • Excellent written English and communication skills
  • Highly developed project management skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
