<p> Canadian Surgery Solutions (CSS) a division of Clearpoint Health Network is hiring Registered Nurse for Operating Room- Casual.</p>
<p><b>Position Summary:</b></p>
<p> As an RN at CSS, you&#8217;ll provide a wide range of nursing services to patients and families, utilizing standard nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making. You&#8217;ll collaborate with the healthcare team, ensuring patient safety, and adherence to professional standards and facility policies. Your clinical expertise will be crucial in assessing, treating, and educating patients undergoing various surgical procedures.</p>
<p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with the healthcare team.</li>
<li>Adhere to infection control policies and safety regulations.</li>
<li>Document patient care accurately.</li>
<li>Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by keeping information confidential.</li>
<li>Stay updated with professional knowledge through education and participation in societies.</li>
<li>Assist in the orientation and support of new staff.</li>
<li>Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Physical Requirements:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Physically demanding work environment, involving lifting and patient transfers.</li>
<li>Ability to lift/push/pull more than 25 pounds.</li>
<li>Above shoulder requirements for prepping and positioning patients.</li>
<li>Potential exposure to challenging and stressful circumstances, including emergencies and safety hazards.</li>
<li>Ability to wear lead apron protection for an extended period.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Qualifications:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Education: Completion of accredited nursing education program with 2–3 years recent experience in acute care operating room.</li>
<li>Active registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta.</li>
<li>Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) perioperative nursing certification or equivalent.</li>
<li>Professional: Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized, rapid-moving, complex environment. Excellent assessment, organization, communication, and team interaction skills. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support &#8211; Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Previous orthopedic operating room experience, including scrub and circulating functions in a surgical suite.</li>
