This extraordinary recruiter will be entirely dedicated to forging a talent reservoir for our key department head and executive leadership roles for Fairmont’s Central Canada region.

The Regional Director, Talent Acquisition, will lead Fairmont Central Canada’s Region in developing strategies and building partnerships in order to effectively build a pipeline of talent. What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Regional Director, Talent & Culture, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct comprehensive executive searches to identify and engage with top-level talent.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential candidates.
  • Create a strategic Talent Acquisition Plan for Canada’s Central Canada Region in partnership with Hotel Executive Teams that drives strategies for creative sourcing, headhunting and selection of top talent for our properties
  • Liaise with Hotel Executive Teams to understand Talent Acquisition needs
  • Improve organization attractiveness through strategic marketing planning around employment branding, digital & social media presence, and leveraging our unique selling propositions
  • Identify top talent within the local hotel industry, and deploy passive recruitment methods to source candidates for key department heads, executive committee level and hard to fill roles positions
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from initial contact to successful placement
  • Develop new sourcing areas domestically & internationally and develop and maintain relationships with appropriate agencies to recruit
  • Maintain and develop new community and school partnerships
  • Analyze the effectiveness of strategies, providing regular scorecard of KPI results
  • Assess recruiting tools, technology and processes and continually streamline recruitment strategies and actions for increased efficiency and effectiveness with the intent to reduce the time to hire
  • Review and gather feedback and data to ensure regular enhancements for a seamless and world class candidate experience
  • Collaborate with Regional Director, Learning and Development to strategically enhance the onboarding experience
  • Stay current on industry news, trends and best practices as related to the Region’s talent needs
  • Support and drive Fairmont’s and Canada’s Central Canada Regions Diversity & Inclusion commitments and goals
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures, including safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Your team and working environment:

Key Working Relationships include: Central Canada Regional Team and Hotel General Managers, Directors, Talent & Culture and Executive Teams. Must be able to work onsite in hotels, with work-from-home options available as business dictates. Travel as required within the region

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Well-rounded, experienced recruiter with marketing and sales technique experience, min 3 years
  • Exceptional networking and relationship-building
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
  • Goal-driven and results-oriented
  • Sound understanding of technical recruiting strategies
  • Experience with the use of application tracking software, social media and professional networks liked LinkedIn
  • Previous Human Resources experience and Hotel industry experience an asset
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships throughout business units and levels of the organization, as well with industry partners
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced, changing environment and handle demands simultaneously professionally
  • Strong organizational skills, able to maintain a complex calendar, varied workload and keep exceptional attention to detail
