Reporting to Sr. HR Business Partner you will provide HR administrative support for the DC supporting and partnering with our Operations teams.

What You’ll Do:

Administrative Support

Provide strong professional customer service and acts as frontline HR representative to assist in resolving or directing union colleague and supervisor questions or concerns.

Provide administrative support for Human Resources department supporting the DC.

Administer and follow up on various critical union processes such as but not limited to, leave of absences, attendance support program and union job bidding process vacation bidding process, colleague referrals.

Actively participate in recruiting and selection process for new employees including conducting pre-screen telephone interviews, scheduling in person interviews, extending job offers, assisting with the coordination of new-hire orientations / onboarding processes, and providing other administrative functions.

Source out and attend career fairs for recruitment purposes and to promote Loblaw as a Great Place to Work.

Process criminal record check forms for potential new hires

Work closely with Operations for the various union processes keeping key stake holders updated on follow ups.

Prepare communication and/or updates a variety of reports, including but not limited to the following: weekly headcount report and leaves data, headcount numbers, ad hoc HR general reports, and weekly LOA reports.

Establish and maintain strong employee relationships by being involved in the planning of meeting, events, and DEI celebrations in the DC

Assist Sr. HR Coordinator and Sr. HR Business Partner with research, analysis and implementation of programs, reports, and projects.

Other duties as required

What you bring:

Post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources or related field and obtained (or working towards) HR Management Certification

1-3 years HR experience, recruiting and/or coordinating departmental programs and initiatives is a definite asset.

Previous experience within Supply Chain is an asset

Experience working within a unionized environment is an asset

Familiarity with job search websites (ie, Indeed, LinkedIn), recruitment software (ie, Workday Recruitment), video conferencing platforms (ie, Microsoft Teams) and social media platforms (ie, Facebook, Instagram), is an asset.

Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information.

Solid digital literacy required in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) a definite asset

Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills.

Colleague focused and able to champion positive colleague relations

Highly organized and has a high degree of attention to detail

Strong analytical skills and superior ability to problem-solve
