<p>President <strong>Bola Ahmed Tinubu </strong>has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of renowned businessman and founder of the defunct Diamond Bank, Pascal Dozie, who died on Tuesday at the age of 85.</p>
<p>In a statement released by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described <strong>Dozie</strong> as “<em>a rare breed business leader whose wisdom, humility, and pioneering efforts laid a foundation upon which many continue to build.”</em></p>
<p>Dozie, who was also the former Chairman of MTN Nigeria, was widely celebrated for his immense contributions to Nigeria’s financial and telecommunications sectors.</p>
<p>Mourning the loss, President Tinubu <strong>said the death of Dozie </strong>was “<em>a profound loss to the private sector and Nigeria,”</em> reflecting on his enduring impact on the nation’s economy and entrepreneurial landscape.</p>
<p>The President offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Dozie’s soul and extended heartfelt condolences to his wife, children, and extended family.</p>
<p>In honour of the late business mogul, President Tinubu urged the Nigerian private sector to emulate his legacy by upholding the values he stood for—integrity, innovation, and nation-building.</p>
