<p> Irving Shipbuilding Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector, Pipe.</p>
<p> This is a permanent full-time role based in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. The primary language of work is English. <p><b>Qualifications:</b></p>

<li>Education:</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Technical Diploma or equivalent experience required.</li>
<li>Applicable trade certifications considered an asset.</li>
<li>ISO 9001 training an asset.</li>
<li>CWB, NACE, considered an asset.</li>
<li>Experience:</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Experience in quality control in a Naval Ship Repair setting considered an asset.</li>
<li>Computer knowledge with a focus on Microsoft office products.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills with the ability to handle high pressure situations.</li>
<li>Experience performing and participating in audits considered an asset.</li>
<li>Experience writing and completing NCRs, CARs</li>
</ul>
<p> All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).</p>
<p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Inspect completed and in progress work though job pack checks.</li>
<li>Attend and support Inspection Test Plan (ITP) inspections with Class and Customer, report on findings identified and review of paperwork prior to submittal.</li>
<li>Verify rectification of defects identified during ITP inspections.</li>
<li>Provide coaching to production on deficiencies found / lessons learned.</li>
</ul>
