Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the P&SM Technology Manager, the Senior Technology Analyst will be responsible for supporting our P&SM applications such Ariba, Fieldglass and SAP. This role will work closely with I&T resources, Category Managers and Buyers, Accounts Payable, Vendors and Consultants.
Activities include but are not limited to:
- Owning the investigation and analysis, and of data to drive process improvement and usage of the tool
- Identify and support the rollout of additional tool(s) and process enhancements
· Troubleshooting of issues with users and suppliers
· Provide end user support and training on P&SM Applications (SAP MM, Ariba, Fieldglass)
· Resolve data quality issues
· Identify new system opportunities, participate in benchmarking activities with other industries & contribute to our P&SM Technology roadmap.
· Perform product demonstrations on new capabilities and features
- Analyze trends of various helpdesk tickets to help identify future development items
· Participate in upgrade release reviews, impact assessment and testing
· Act as a system SME (Subject Matter Expert) and provide guidance and support on different project initiatives.
· Identify, develop, implement, and maintain P&SM systems (ARIBA and Fieldglass) to align with business goals.
Requirements
Experience
- Strong ability to work in IT systems, understand business processes, and problem solving in business systems
- Skills working with databases, Microsoft suite primarily, Excel, Power BI and Power Apps
· Working knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes, procedures, policies, and guidelines
· Work with other teams and technical resources to develop detailed solution-specific application, data, and infrastructure designs
· Broad understanding of business process analysis and developing system requirements
· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
· Experience planning and/or leading brainstorming and workshops related to technology improvements is considered an asset
· Have experience implementing, configuring, testing, and administering ARIBA/Fieldglass
· Demonstrate awareness of Rail Transportation or logistics industry and Procurement & Supply Chain, and are able to identify IT needs based on changing requirements and trends an asset
Education/Certification/Designation
Have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration (concentration in MIS) or related technology focused field is preferred however all combinations of related education and experience will be considered.
