About this opportunity

Reporting to the National Director of Real Estate & Facilities, the Project Coordinator will be assigned to support the delivery of a variety of leasehold projects including but not limited to office openings, closures, moves, consolidations, acquisitions, and one-time purchases of capital assets that are foundational to CBI Health meeting its strategic goals. With these experiences, you are well on your way to becoming a project manager.

Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day:

  • Your days are full of action and in constant communication with key project members to track activities, financial commitments, issues and risks;
  • Responsible for coordinating and ensuring the right people are in the right discussions, and that there is clarity on the decisions and action items, as a result of these discussions.
  • Purchase and coordinating logistics for new and supplanted commercial furniture, fixtures, and equipment (capital assets) for Real Estate Projects (including removal and disposal) to align with Project Manager schedules
  • You have a clear oversight of the progress made and the upcoming activities.
  • You are the trusted advisor to the project manager and project sponsor;

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:

  • College diploma or University Degree in a relevant field such as Interior Design or Architecture, is preferred.
  • Experience working on a project team and awareness of current project management methodologies;
  • Sound ability to read and interpret Blueprints (plans) to be able to interpret the building’s specifications and construction details for the purpose of furniture placement, electrical, voice and data infrastructure
  • Experience with and understanding of building codes as related to the design and construction of structures and furniture, fixtures, and equipment placement.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team and you thrive in a fast moving and deadline-oriented workplace;
  • You take initiative and you follow through so you can manage, prioritize and complete the work assigned to you by several colleagues;
  • Analytical thinker and a problem solver who can easily respond to multiple diverse and shifting challenges while meeting your deadlines without compromising quality;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong political acuity;
  • You want to become a project manager in the future.
