The UniVenture project is a targeted wellness program to address heavy drinking&comma; other substance misuse&comma; and student mental health on 5 Canadian campuses&period; The multi-site UniVenture research project is being led by Dr&period; Sherry Stewart &lpar;Project Director &lbrack;PD&rsqb;&rpar; out of the MAAC Lab at Dalhousie University in Halifax&period; &period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> &vert; Reporting directly to the PD&comma; the Postdoctoral Fellow will work with UniVenture Project university partners and students to ensure standardized organization and delivery of the Univenture project across all 5 Canadian sites&period; The postdoctoral fellow will also have the opportunity to work closely with one of the partners&comma; Injury Free Nova Scotia &lbrack;IFNS&rsqb;&comma; to advance a UniVenture sub-project focused on whether and how the targeted wellness program reduces risk taking and injury among undergraduates&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><b>Key Responsibilities&colon;<&sol;b><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> o Coordination of the multi-site Univenture project from the Halifax site including&colon; standardized organization and delivery of the Univenture program&comma; data collection and management across all 5 sites<br &sol;>&NewLine; o Leading and effectively managing research collaboration between the MAAC Lab and IFNS o Oversee timelines and assist with timely completion of implementation goals at each Univenture site&comma; support communication between sites&comma; recording minutes for all meetings&comma; report to funding agencies&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; o Help supervise Research Assistants and students working on the Univenture Project o Prepare and coordinate primary ethical approval and support individual study site applications to local Research Ethics Boards &lpar;REBs&rpar;<br &sol;>&NewLine; o Prepare manuscripts for publication&comma; and present results at scientific conferences&period; o Support development of data collection protocols and tools&semi; support and ensure standardized data collection&comma; management and analysis practices across both organizations&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; o Attend regular Univenture team meetings&comma; MAAC Lab meetings&comma; and meetings with IFNS partner organization<br &sol;>&NewLine; o Opportunities available for extra paid teaching and&sol;or for clinical activity to work toward professional registration &lpar;clinical psychology&rpar;<br &sol;>&NewLine; o Applicant must successfully apply for funding through Mitacs&semi; will be assisted in this task by PD&semi; a 2-year Accelerate position is attached to the SSHRC PEG &lpar;guaranteed quick review&rpar;&semi; applicant may chose to apply for Elevate for second year<br &sol;>&NewLine; Qualifications&sol;Requirements of Position<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Recent PhD in a field within Health or Social Sciences is required with a clinical psychology PhD an asset&period; Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated experience in peer reviewed publication&period; Experience working in a research environment managing multi-site projects is important&period; Must have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills&comma; the ability to work as part of a dynamic team and possess excellent organizational and communication &lpar;written and oral&rpar; skills&period; A working knowledge of SPSS and Microsoft Excel&comma; Powerpoint and Word is required&period; Candidate should be proactive with an ability to manage tight deadlines and work efficiently with a minimum of supervision&period;
