<p>Three <a target="_blank" href="http://gistreel.com/tag/policemen"><strong>policemen</strong></a> serving at the Abia State police command have been <strong>dismissed</strong> from the Force after being found guilty of <strong>extortion and abduction.</strong></p>
<p>Police Public Relations Officer,Abia Command,DSP Maureen Chinaka,who confirmed the dismissal of the three policemen, disclosing that they were found guilty after an orderly room trial which was initiated by the command, confirmed their involvement in the unprofessional conduct.</p>
<p>The policemen were said to have been <strong>abducting</strong> unsuspecting victims along the Enugu – Port Harcourt expressway.</p>
<p>They allegedly hired a minibus, abducted some civilians along the expressway, threatened and demanded money from their families for their release.</p>
<p>It was also gathered that the 3 policemen and two civilians were arrested by policemen from the Abayi Division,Aba, after they were found armed with an electric baton, assault rifle, and a Beretta pistol.</p>
<p>The PPRO stated,, “<em>This action follows the administrative disciplinary measures taken by the command.</em></p>
<p><em>“Their official accoutrements have been retrieved by the Command’s Provost and they cease to be members of the force.</em></p>
