<p> We are keen to hear from individuals who have the ability to lead &; continue to evolve the GBCT Pathway (Junior &; Senior Academy)</p>
<p> The role will be based at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester.</p>
<p> <b>Role Summary:</b></p>
<p> Programme Leadership</p>
<p> Provide operational leadership to align GBCTs World Class performance pathway to the Olympic medal aspirations<br />
 <br /> Lead and empower the coaching team to develop, implement and evolve activity to ensure continually improving programmes at every stage of the pathway.<br />
 <br /> Work with relevant Heads of Department in GBCT to align and integrate appropriate coaching, science, medicine and technical resources through the pathway.<br />
 <br /> Support the head coach or their delegates to ensure the quality of rider plans, programme activity and coach delivery meets the needs of the programme.<br />
 <br /> Senior Leadership Team</p>
<p> Collaboratively contribute to excellent and integrated leadership of the World Class Programme as a member of the Senior Leadership Team<br />
 <br /> Contribute to the strategic development and direction of the GB Cycling Team and be accountable for attaining organisational objectives and targets; including &; driving discreet projects outside of the Pathway arena.<br />
 <br /> Recognise the relevance and deliver regular presentations at conferences, symposiums and forums in order to maintain British Cycling&#8217;s position as a World-leading programme.<br />
 <br /> Develop and enhance the knowledge transfer of “best practice” through effective communication channels, both internally and externally (as appropriate).<br />
 <br /> Athlete Recruitment</p>
<p> Lead, manage and evolve the Performance Matrix (Profile) that defines the competencies, benchmarks and experiences that riders need to develop into a world class rider.<br />
 <br /> Lead, manage and evolve the assessment, membership and review processes for riders on the performance pathway.<br />
 <br /> Provide regular reports on current and forecasted rider numbers against the allocated number of UK Sport Athlete Personal Awards.<br />
 <br /> Work with internal (e.g. British Cycling Talent Development Team) and external partners (e.g. UK Sport) to attract more athletic talent into identified &#8216;talent gaps&#8217; within the pathway.<br />
 <br /> Rider Support</p>
<p> Support programme coaches to deliver world class development environments, ensuring athletes are provided with appropriate levels of support and challenge.<br />
 <br /> Lead and manage the delivery of a world class induction, education and transition programme for all riders and their supporters.<br />
 <br /> Work with the communications team to ensure pathway-related literature remains up-to-date and athlete experiences are regularly captured and published.<br />
 <br /> Where appropriate, attend camps, races and athlete visits to maintain positive relationships with coaches, riders and parents and maximise athlete recruitment.<br />
 <br /> When appropriate work with BC safeguarding, legal and UKAD teams to support riders<br />
 <br /> <b>Management</b></p>
<p> Lead on, and where appropriate, directly manage the performance of the team, ensuring staff have clear expectations, timely access to feedback and continual improvement is encouraged.<br />
 <br /> Lead on the team&#8217;s people and finance processes to support the management of the pathway.<br />
