continue to evolve the GBCT Pathway &lpar;Junior &amp&semi; Senior Academy&rpar;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> The role will be based at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> <b>Role Summary&colon;<&sol;b><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Programme Leadership<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Provide operational leadership to align GBCTs World Class performance pathway to the Olympic medal aspirations<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Lead and empower the coaching team to develop&comma; implement and evolve activity to ensure continually improving programmes at every stage of the pathway&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Work with relevant Heads of Department in GBCT to align and integrate appropriate coaching&comma; science&comma; medicine and technical resources through the pathway&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Support the head coach or their delegates to ensure the quality of rider plans&comma; programme activity and coach delivery meets the needs of the programme&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Senior Leadership Team<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Collaboratively contribute to excellent and integrated leadership of the World Class Programme as a member of the Senior Leadership Team<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Contribute to the strategic development and direction of the GB Cycling Team and be accountable for attaining organisational objectives and targets&semi; including &amp&semi; driving discreet projects outside of the Pathway arena&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Recognise the relevance and deliver regular presentations at conferences&comma; symposiums and forums in order to maintain British Cycling&&num;8217&semi;s position as a World-leading programme&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Develop and enhance the knowledge transfer of &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;best practice” through effective communication channels&comma; both internally and externally &lpar;as appropriate&rpar;&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Athlete Recruitment<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Lead&comma; manage and evolve the Performance Matrix &lpar;Profile&rpar; that defines the competencies&comma; benchmarks and experiences that riders need to develop into a world class rider&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Lead&comma; manage and evolve the assessment&comma; membership and review processes for riders on the performance pathway&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Provide regular reports on current and forecasted rider numbers against the allocated number of UK Sport Athlete Personal Awards&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Work with internal &lpar;e&period;g&period; British Cycling Talent Development Team&rpar; and external partners &lpar;e&period;g&period; UK Sport&rpar; to attract more athletic talent into identified &&num;8216&semi;talent gaps&&num;8217&semi; within the pathway&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Rider Support<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Support programme coaches to deliver world class development environments&comma; ensuring athletes are provided with appropriate levels of support and challenge&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Lead and manage the delivery of a world class induction&comma; education and transition programme for all riders and their supporters&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Work with the communications team to ensure pathway-related literature remains up-to-date and athlete experiences are regularly captured and published&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Where appropriate&comma; attend camps&comma; races and athlete visits to maintain positive relationships with coaches&comma; riders and parents and maximise athlete recruitment&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> When appropriate work with BC safeguarding&comma; legal and UKAD teams to support riders<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> <b>Management<&sol;b><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Lead on&comma; and where appropriate&comma; directly manage the performance of the team&comma; ensuring staff have clear expectations&comma; timely access to feedback and continual improvement is encouraged&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine; <br &sol;> Lead on the team&&num;8217&semi;s people and finance processes to support the management of the pathway&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;
