<p>Brazilian forward <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/neymar"><strong>Neymar</strong></a> is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury during <strong>Santos’</strong> 2-0 win over Atletico Mineiro on Thursday.</p>
<p>The 32-year-old, who was making his 100th appearance for Santos, was forced off in the 34th minute, bringing an abrupt end to what was meant to be a milestone occasion.</p>
<p>ESPN reports that the injury, while serious, does not affect the same muscle previously damaged during his time with Al-Hilal.</p>
<p>This latest setback comes amid a string of injury issues for Neymar, who missed most of the 2023/24 season due to an ACL tear sustained last October.</p>
<p>The recurrence of muscular problems continues to cast a shadow over his attempts to revive his career with Santos.</p>
<p>Neymar had returned to his boyhood club to aid their push for redemption following relegation in 2023.</p>
<p>With Santos having picked up just four points from their opening four fixtures in the Brazilian Serie A, his absence presents a blow to their early-season ambitions.</p>
<p>The club will now proceed with caution in his rehabilitation, with hopes that he will return in time to play a significant role in the remainder of the campaign.</p>
