<p> We&#8217;d like you to join us as a Staff Nurse at our service Holybourne Hospital in London.</p>
<p> Holybourne Hospital in London is an Adult Mental Health hospital for men and women with severe and complex mental health conditions.</p>
<p> We provide high quality intensive treatment in a clinically safe, caring and secure environment, supporting the NHS when intensive care needs cannot be met locally.</p>
<p> Age range: adults over 18 years old.</p>
<p> What you&#8217;ll be working:</p>
<p> We&#8217;re flexible, so you&#8217;ll work a total 37.5 hours per week, on a rota basis.</p>
<p><b>What you&#8217;ll be doing:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Assessing and delivering effective individual care and treatment towards the service users</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Working according to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines as a named nurse or key worker for a defined group of patients.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Providing a high quality individualised standard of care to a defined group of patients, relatives and carers.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ensuring the effective supervision and development of staff .</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Working and acting as a key member of the team, supporting each patient with achieving their planned outcomes.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Acting as the primary nurse in the assessment of needs and organising of care.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Taking charge of a designated clinical area.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Adopting a flexible approach to hours of duty, in order to meet the needs of the service over a 24 hour period.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>People Management</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Ensuring the provision of appropriate supervision and support to members of the ward team</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Managing allocated resources effectively through efficient resource allocation, skill mixes, roster management, and utilisation of equipment and authorisation of bank/agency staff.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Participating in clinical audit, clinical risk and quality issues, including the management and reporting of incidents</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Acting as a team leader for a group of nurses, acting as a mentor/preceptor</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Deputising for the manager as and when required</li>
</ul>
<p> Communication and Relationship Skills</p>
<ul>
<li>Providing a high level of Communication with internal and external stakeholders</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Participating in discussions and debates and staff meetings offering views, ideas and opinions.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Participating in the process of positively supporting and inspiring colleagues within the service to improve standards and quality and to develop professional practice.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Communicating all relevant issues pertaining to care.</li>
</ul>
