Job description: We are currently looking for a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our team at Lake Utopia Paper based in St. George, New Brunswick.
This opportunity would be ideal for candidates looking to deepen their knowledge of preventative and predictive based maintenance management. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting major maintenance programs. You will develop and manage process and equipment reliability programs including:
- Root cause failure analysis
- Life cycle asset management
- Loss accounting/elimination
- Administration of CMMS system “E1”
- Equipment monitoring including managing the vibrational analysis program
- Shutdown Job Sponsorship – work with maintenance team to sponsor certain jobs through one-day and multi-day planned shutdowns
- Loss-time analysis to manage down time, lost time, etc.
- On-call rotation required in this role

You Have:
- Education Required: Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering
- 2-3 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Industrial experience (process/manufacturing) would be considered an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, JD Edwards and Microsoft Projects
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability while working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a reliability or plant maintenance area would be considered an asset
- Maintenance Management Professional, Reliability Certification, or work towards such a designation would be considered an asset
