<p> Here&#8217;s how a(n) Mechanical and Electrical Manager contributes to our team:</p>
<p> <b>Responsibilities</b><br />
 </p>
<ul>
<li>Oversees the coordination of the drawing process and provides direction on model coordination across multiple projects.</li>
<li>Reviews and negotiates change notices/orders related to building systems and assesses their effect on the project budget, scope, schedule, and forecasts.</li>
<li>Provides guidance on designs, layouts, and management of the procurement of temporary utility services (e.g., power, water, gas, storm and sewer connections) in the construction plan.</li>
<li>Liaises with utility providers to provide services to project as per project schedule and addresses challenges, as required.</li>
<li>Stays current with industry practices and seeks new and innovative building systems methods and processes. Drives implementation within operations and with external partners.</li>
<li>Supervises, directs, coaches, trains, and mentors building systems employees daily.</li>
<li>Provides recommendations to operations management regarding project-specific improvements that may impact building systems.</li>
<li>Monitors and tracks trade performance across all projects and provides input on selected trades to provide a competitive edge.</li>
<li>Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.</li>
</ul>
<p> <b>Qualifications</b><br />
 </p>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required. Tradesperson or postsecondary diploma/degree in a related discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, controls) is preferred.</li>
<li>15+ years of progressive construction experience in positions leading to district building systems manager, including 3 years leading the entire building systems function and resources for a district.</li>
<li>Advanced understanding of the impact and interaction of all building systems.</li>
<li>Knowledge of relevant construction law and building codes and associated impacts.</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of various construction methods.</li>
<li>Planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize own work, and delegate tasks.</li>
<li>Experience with negotiating subcontracts and change notices. Ability to interpret and recognize impacts of contract documents to mitigate risk.</li>
<li>Uses effective verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.</li>
<li>Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.</li>
</ul>
