<p> POSITION: ADJUNCT COMPUTER PROGRAMMING/WEBSITE DESIGN INSTRUCTOR &#8211; HALL AND FORSYTH CAMPUS LOCATIONS</p>
<p> REPORTS TO: Dean of Advanced Technology and Engineering</p>
<p> SALARY: Targeted salary is paid in a lump sum based on contact hours</p>
<p> SHIFT: Day or Evening Courses Available</p>
<p> <b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p>
<p> Under general supervision; will prepare and teach classes in the Computer Programming/Website Design program; evaluate student progress toward goals; participate in advisement activities by meeting with students regularly to discuss progress; and complete class administrative duties, such as attendance reporting; recording of graded assignments in a timely manner; and final grade submission by required deadline.</p>
<p> <b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>A bachelor&#8217;s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or closely related field with at least 18 semester hours of computer programming course work;</li>
</ul>
<p> Three (3) years of in-field work experience required; * Must be able to teach content for one or more of the following courses: HTML, Program design and development, Scripting, Web Graphics, Java, C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, PHP, Mobile Applications</p>
<p> <b>COMPETENCIES:</b></p>
<p> Skill in developing lesson outlines and materials;<br />
 <br /> Knowledge of area of assignment;<br />
 <br /> Skill in presenting subject matter;<br />
 <br /> Skill in administering tests to evaluate students&#8217; progress;<br />
 <br /> Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs;<br />
 <br /> Effective communication and interpersonal relation skills;<br />
 <br /> Knowledge of student information systems.</p>
<p> PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to minimum and competencies):</p>
<p> · Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or closely related field with at least 18 semester hours of computer programming course work at the graduate level.</p>
<p> · Prior teaching experience in higher education</p>
<p> This position is available at the Hall and Forsyth Lanier Tech campus locations; and day and evening classes available.</p>
<p> NOTE: Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions of employment that are appointed on a per-academic-term basis.</p>
