<p>A Nigerian <a target="_blank" href="http://gistreel.com/tag/lady"><strong>lady</strong></a> has called out her <strong>landlord</strong> for increasing her <strong>rent</strong> from â¦1.2 million to â¦1.8 million despite the harsh economic situation in the country.</p>
<p>This was revealed in a post shared on the popular social media platform X (formerly Twitter).</p>

<p>In the post, the lady expressed frustration, lamenting that the economic hardship in Nigeria is already unbearable, yet her landlord is showing no consideration by raising the rent significantly.</p>
<p>She wrote: <em>“They’ve increased my rent today. I just got back from the market and found out my rent has been raised from â¦1.2 million to â¦1.8 million.”</em></p>
<p>“<em>Is that not too much? Nigeria is already hard enough, people are just trying to survive. What is happening, landlord? Nobody is considering anybody; everybody wants to kill everybody.”</em></p>
<p>She further noted that the rent increment letter stated the rent was previously â¦1 million, whereas she had been paying â¦1.2 million for the past two years.</p>
<p>“<em>Is it a mistake? I’ve been paying â¦1.2 million, which is an extra â¦600,000. Now it’s going up to â¦1.8 million?”</em> she questioned.</p>
