How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

The IT Services Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration

and support of Office Desktop PCs, RF scanner equipment, laptops, printers and all related

technology used in DHL Office Brampton including hardware and applications used by the various

functions on location and applicable server support for the warehouse and office systems.

IT skills:

o Proficient in Windows server

o Familiar with RF scanners and label printer troubleshooting and support

o Able to create documentation

o IT Asset Management and CMDB

o Familiar with software and hardware security

o Familiar with ITS cloud and internal rules

o Working knowledge of Windows 7/10/365

o Familiar with Ticketing System and ITIL Processes (Incident & Problem Management)

Other Requirements:

  • Provides second-tier technical support to internal and external customers; installs, configures, troubleshoots, monitors, and maintains customers’ desktop software and hardware; supports mobile workforce.
  • Consults with customers on all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based systems software; resolves more complex, less defined issues.
  • Works independently in troubleshooting and providing solutions to unresolved hardware and software problems through trouble-ticket system.
  • Maintains passwords, data integrity, and system security for the desktop environment. Provides technical support and guidance through Tier II support, training, and publication of documentation; seeks hardware repair through outside vendors.
  • Conducts site surveys and implements moves, adds/changes, and modifications to existing equipment through work-request system.
  • Evaluates, maintains, modifies (e.g., creates macros, templates), and documents desktop application packages; participates in the testing and evaluation of new desktop packages, implements prototypes, and consults with customers on selection of software applications.
  • Supports SATS auto-sort software and materials handling equipment applications.
  • Performs security procedures including implementing log-in requests; evaluates new products and technologies to determine impact on existing system configurations.
  • May provide functional guidance, advice, and/or training / support to end-users

Do you have what it takes?

  • BS/BA or related work experience in related discipline and 2 – 5years of experience in related field.
  • Highly achievement-oriented and detail-oriented.
  • Proficient communication in English – both verbal and written.
  • Able to occasionally work extra hours, sometimesoutside of normal working hours.
  • Able to occasionally travel to other DHL locations around Canada.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft products – computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to coordinate information and complete group tasks.
  • Proven customer service and / or interpersonal skills.
