<p> Software Toolchains Project</p>
<p> Do you want to understand how source code is turned into running programs on the latest SoC with advanced computer architecture with industry leading performance? Be part of the group that writes compilers and uses analysis to generate fast code, working closely with Qualcomm’s CPU architects.</p>
<p> You will be working with a small, focused team of industry experts who are passionate about what they do and want to help you advance in your career. We have a number of projects available based upon your level and interest. They include: </p>
<ul>
<li>Analyzing the performance of industry benchmarks and implementing compiler changes to improve performance</li>
<li>Implement data visualization methods to help our team and the CPU architects understand performance characteristics</li>
<li>Run simulations of architectural features under development and communicate those results</li>
</ul>
<p> Programming Languages: </p>
<ul>
<li>Python/Perl or other scripting languages</li>
<li>C/C++</li>
</ul>
<p> <b>Minimum Qualifications:</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>Strong academic records (GPA 3.0 or 72% and better);</li>
<li>Excellent programming skills in Python, Perl, C/C++</li>
<li>Ability to debug, root cause, and resolve issues spanning multiple subsystems.</li>
<li>Proven ability to own problems and drive them to a resolution</li>
<li>Basic understanding of Computer Architecture/microarchitecture concepts</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Effective interpersonal communications skill (written and verbal)</li>
<li>Analytical, thorough, resourceful and detail-oriented</li>
<li>Self-motivated, hardworking, and flexible</li>
</ul>
<p> <b>Preferred Qualifications:</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>Academic experience with toolchains/compilers such as LLVM or GCC.</li>
<li>Experience in Python, Debug, Gitlab, and Jira are all a plus</li>
</ul>
<p> <b>Educational Requirements:</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>In study towards a bachelors in one of the following: electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related field</li>
<li>For 12 or 16 month internships must be available May 2024 &#8211; May 2025 or May 2024 &#8211; August 2025</li>
