Role: Finance Manager
Location: Stowmarket / Cambridge – (hybrid role past first 6 months)
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000
We are working with an innovative, international, and exciting company that is expanding very quickly and has a great working and people culture. They are looking for the right person to come and join their dynamic and hospitality-passionate team.
They have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team and support them during their growth. Property, Retail or Hospitality experience is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Prepare the quarterly and annual statutory Group submissions.
- Ownership of key balance sheet accounts, reconciling and ensuring balances are fully substantiated as well as reviewing.
- Provide all management accounts for all group companies including commentary on performance, KPIs and budget/forecast variances. Directly responsible for the consolidated position.
- Preparation of year-end balance sheet analysis for quarterly reporting.
- Daily reporting and commentary on sales performance to directors and heads of Departments.
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts, liaising with external auditors.
- Assisting the Head of Finance with implementing/improving processes and controls.
- Assisting in the formulation of the Company’s financial and business strategy in accordance with the medium- and long-term objectives determined by the Board.
- Management and optimisation of the group tax position for corporate, payroll and VAT to mitigate tax risk.
- Analysing existing infrastructure and performing IT system enhancements.
- Installing ERP software and ensuring seamless integration with IT systems.
- Dealing with HMRC inspections and audits (PAYE, VAT etc.)
The ideal candidate
- Commercial mindset & a knowledge of process improvement.
- Excellent knowledge of Budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling.
- Strong understanding of statutory accounts, corporate tax and liquidity management.
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively in a business partnering role.
- Commercial knowledge of the hospitality sector through previous work in contract catering, restaurant/bar groups, and property is a plus.
- CIMA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified with the willingness to become qualified.
