<p><strong>Chelsea</strong> missed the opportunity to temporarily overtake <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/?s=liverpool"><strong>Liverpool</strong></a> at the Premier League summit after a 0-0 draw against <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/everton"><strong>Everton</strong></a>.</p>
<p>Enzo Maresca’s team, chasing a sixth consecutive league win, failed to break through Everton’s defense despite dominating possession.</p>
<p>The result extended Chelsea’s unbeaten run but marked their first scoreless outing since the season’s opening weekend.</p>
<p>The match began with Chelsea on the front foot, as Cole Palmer fired an early shot wide and Nicolas Jackson came close to rounding Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.</p>

<p>However, Everton’s defense held firm, with center-back Tosin Adarabioyo making a crucial late clearance to secure a point for the hosts.</p>
<p>Everton, playing their first match under new owners, the Friedkin Group, showed determination despite the tough weather conditions.</p>
<p>Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s header on target was their best chance in a game where clear opportunities were limited.</p>
<p>The draw leaves Chelsea one point behind Liverpool, while Everton continue their bid to climb out of the bottom half of the table.</p>
