What is the Opportunity?

The Coordinator, Web Content and SEO will help support the development and analysis of digital content across the RCM’s web platforms, with specific emphasis on rcmusic.com. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing, this role will assist with executing the RCM’s website strategy, including optimizing the digital user experience, implementing SEO initiatives, and supporting paid search campaigns across Canadian and US markets.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Web Content

  • Update the organization’s websites and subsites including, but not limited to, rcmusic.com, smartstartprogram.org, and teacherportal.rcmusic.com, ensuring that web content meets best practices, is of a high standard, and tells our story in a succinct, clear, and compelling manner.
  • Build high-quality content for the organization’s websites, working with internal stakeholders to obtain all necessary approvals prior to delivering it to the marketplace.
  • Provide internal support and expertise to content creators within business units to ensure website revitalization projects prioritize user experience and online journey.
  • Ongoing general website maintenance and upkeep including fixing broken links and ensuring the organization remains AODA compliant online.
  • Stay up to date with latest industry trends and best practices related to web technologies.

SEO

  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing to identify opportunities and tactics related to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve search engine result rankings for target keywords and business goals.
  • Implement content updates and assist with executing other SEO strategies from external agencies.
  • Conduct keyword research, referencing the competitive landscape and market trends, to use throughout digital marketing materials.
  • Champion SEO best practices with internal stakeholders.

Paid Media

  • Support with Google pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns including paid search, display, and video.
  • Perform day-to-day search campaign management including building, launching, reporting on, analyzing, and optimizing campaigns.
  • Assist with producing campaign and ad-hoc reports and provide insights and improvements.
  • Assist with establishing benchmarks for key campaign metrics, including CPM, CPC, and cost/conversion, to effectively forecast future campaigns.
