<p> This role is within the RWE Renewables Offshore Wind Development UK and Ireland Consents and Permits Team.</p>
<p> The Consent Manager (CM) supports the onshore or offshore consent manager on Consenting activity on current and future offshore wind projects. The role will support the many aspects of project development including delivering and maintaining the necessary consents for the project. The role may be allocated to one particular project at a time or provide support across a number of projects on discrete packages of work. It is anticipated that the first project assignment would be to the Five Estuaries Offshore Wind Development Project to provide support to the consent managers through DCO Examination.</p>
<p><b>Key responsibilities include:</b></p>
<p> Pre-Consent Project Work: </p>
<ul>
<li>Support the Onshore or Offshore consent manager with internal and external workstreams related to the consent applications.</li>
<li>Acting as the primary interface to specific contractors and stakeholders as requested by the onshore or offshore consent manager</li>
<li>Relevant stakeholder management and relationship-building activities,</li>
<li>Interfacing between the consenting workstreams, and relevant engineering and design workstreams,</li>
<li>Providing guidance to the key offshore EIA consultants with support from the onshore or offshore consent manager,</li>
<li>Support with submission of consent applications and support for the application through the examination process.</li>
<li>Work where needed with the land transaction manager to provide required information for and support with securing required land and access rights for the project.</li>
</ul>
<p> Post Consent Project Work: </p>
<ul>
<li>Ensuring consent compliance,</li>
<li>Stakeholder management including government, local authority, public, the Crown Estate, regulatory bodies and other relevant stakeholders,</li>
<li>Overseeing current consent applications (e.g. port infrastructure) and licence variations,</li>
<li>Liaison with site construction team, responding to their requirements and ensuring their compliance with necessary consent conditions and statutory requirements,</li>
<li>Assist in the implementation of community funding initiatives linked to the wind farm,</li>
<li>Assist the land transactions manager with land related issues arising throughout construction</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Knowledge and Skills:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Well organised and able to complete multiple discrete tasks.</li>
<li>Be highly motivated and have the ability to work to specific project deadlines</li>
<li>Have good communication and interpersonal skills at a range of levels internally and externally, verbally and non- verbally.</li>
<li>Educated to degree level or equivalent training / competence</li>
<li>Knowledge of renewable energy or energy/utility sector consenting</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Other information:</b></p>
<p> The role reports to Team Lead Consents on a line basis.</p>
<p> The role will require travel to meetings in RWE&#8217;s Swindon Office. Travel to other locations in the UK and Europe may be required. </p>
