<br /><b>Job description</b>: Our client, one of Ontario&#8217;s largest acute-care academic hospitals, is undergoing a clinical transformation to implement a new regional Health Information System (Cerner Millennium) which will enable the sharing of information seamlessly across the region&#8217;s health partners. Cerner Millennium will replace paper-based records, provide a single source of clinical tools and enable the sharing of information seamlessly across the region&#8217;s health partners.</p>
<p> For this transformation we are seeking clinical professionals and/or IT professionals familiar with clinical workstreams and Health Information Systems (HIS) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to join the Clinical Systems Analyst team, with the choice to work remotely or onsite. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with an innovative project within the Canadian Healthcare system.</p>
<p> The Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, updating and optimizing a product component of the Regional Health Information System (RHIS) for the region&#8217;s health partners, such as gathering requirements from end-users, performing system testing and implementing workflow updates and changes. The Clinical Systems Analyst develops the work plan and resource plan for small to moderately complex information systems projects. This position works under general supervision of the Manager and with the technical direction of more experienced analysts.</p>
<p> &#8211; Oracle Cerner system configuration and Production Support- Provides HIS system support and rotational, on-call service as required; coordinates problem resolution related to end-user issues or errors, support enhancement and optimization of the system.<br />
 <br /> &#8211; Project Management and Coordination &#8211; works with the client to prioritize projects focused on enhancing or optimizing the RHIS, as well as executing all phases of the software development life cycle.<br />
 <br /> &#8211; Education and Learning: Maintains a working knowledge of the clinical application in which they are trained and its relationship with other applications in the RHIS; coaches new team members in their respective function; cross-trains on other clinical applications; maintains knowledge of technological advances; maintains knowledge of hospital workflows and operations that may impact the system.</p>
<p> Clinical Systems Analyst candidates require to be familiar with any or all of the following workstreams:<br />

<p> All Clinical Systems Analysts:<br />
 <br /> &#8211; Ability to identify and analyze issues and provide solutions using problem solving and analytical skills<br />
 <br /> &#8211; Excellent prioritization, organizational skills, and project management methodologies, as demonstrated by the ability to manage own time and successfully complete multiple tasks and projects assigned simultaneously<br />
 <br /> &#8211; Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with all levels of stakeholders and management to provide efficient customer service<br />
 <br /> &#8211; Demonstrated good judgment, decision-making and problem-solving skills<br />
 <br /> &#8211; Demonstrated ability to work effectively with little direct supervision and within a team<br />
 <br /> &#8211; Demonstrated skills in working with all levels of staff in an organization and the ability to work with external groups, agencies, and/or individuals<br />
 <br /> &#8211; Knowledge of principles and methodology of systems development life cycle<br />
 <br /> &#8211; Working knowledge of common MS-Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)<br />
 <br /> &#8211; Relevant knowledge and experience of hospital information systems such as Cerner, Meditech, Epic &#8211; preferred</p>
