<p> <b>Role Overview</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for students and staff.</li>
</ul>
<p> <b>Responsibilities</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems to ensure optimal temperature and air quality within the school buildings.</li>
<li>Oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems.</li>
<li>Manage the maintenance of school equipment and appliances that require electrical or mechanical expertise.</li>
<li>Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical problems promptly to minimize disruptions to school operations.</li>
<li>Ensure that all mechanical and electrical systems meet safety and compliance standards.</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for energy conservation and recommend improvements.</li>
<li>Assist in the development and management of the mechanical and electrical department&#8217;s budget.</li>
<li>Provide training to staff on safety procedures and the proper use of mechanical and electrical equipment.</li>
</ul>
<p> Qualification, Experience and Knowledge </p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.</li>
<li>Professional engineering license</li>
<li>Master&#8217;s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is desired.</li>
<li>Relevant work experience in mechanical and electrical engineering.</li>
<li>High-level computer literacy skills</li>
<li>Proficiency in engineering software, including CAD programs, simulation tools and data analysis software is an added advantage.</li>
<li>Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and energy conservation practices.</li>
<li>Adherence to ethical standards and professional conduct.</li>
