About the role
Join the Business Optimization and Systems team in the Bilingual Senior Specialist, Business Solution Quality Assurance and Compliance position. In this role, you will lead and support the development of Quality Assurance frameworks for new and existing business products and programs and provide strategic and tactical input into Quality Assurance and testing objectives.
This is a temporary position of a duration of 18 – 24 months, with possibility of extension.
What you’ll do:
- Provide substantive expertise and assistance in the implementation and analysis of Quality Assurance requirements, business test plans and test management activities.
- Lead and support the development and continuous improvement of Business Quality and Compliance validation processes, quality governance documents, and develop plans, including, as applicable, objectives, acceptance criteria, test plans and risk assessments.
- Lead the execution of Business testing, evaluation and reporting on key processes, controls and policy/program requirements, assessing rigour and consistency in the application of strategies, procedures and controls.
- Establish and maintain key performance measures and/or risk indicators and outcome targets to improve business effectiveness and efficiency.
- Promote and leverage appropriate industry frameworks, standards and practices, as applicable, in conducting work activities.
- Define and lead implementation of automated testing strategies, tools and artefacts used by business analysts for the acceptance of software deliverables.
- Analyze data sets and information to provide management with quantitative and qualitative information for decision-making.
- Work closely with the IT QA practice lead in transforming the testing approaches as CMHC is transforming the delivery method to agile.
What you should have:
- An undergraduate degree in a related field such as computer science, software engineering, business quality assurance or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience can be considered.
- A minimum of seven years’ experience in Software quality assurance and testing.
- Knowledge and experience with Agile delivery and DevOps approaches and test tracking software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the software delivery life cycle including waterfall and agile testing approaches and processes, quality assurance and oversight.
- Solid technical understanding of SaaS, REST APIs, micro-services and Web applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to apply tact, judgment, diplomacy, and political sensitivity.
- Solid leadership skills with the ability to communicate and present in both official languages (French and English).
