<p> <b>About the role</b><br />
 <br /> Join the Housing Programs team in the Bilingual Manager, Programs position. In this role, you will carry out management responsibilities for the delivery of business activities or other CMHC initiatives. Your skills and passion for leading a team, elaborating strategies to improve outcomes, and solving complex problems through collaboration with partners and clients will help us make housing affordable for everyone in Canada.</p>
<p> This is a temporary position of a duration of 24 months.</p>
<p> What you’ll do:<br />
 </p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure prudent, effective, and efficient delivery of program initiatives and consistency in the application and interpretation of program policies and operational procedures.</li>
<li>Set objectives and take responsibility for engagement, enabling a culture of learning, performance management and accountability. Align people with work in order to achieve organizational objectives and results.</li>
<li>Support complex construction funding commitments and provide input for legal contracts, funding strategies and advancing.</li>
<li>Develop strategies, identify improvements, and collaborate on issue resolution with partners and stakeholders.</li>
<li>Gather intelligence on client needs and issues and communicate insights. Develop strategies or solutions to address client needs.</li>
<li>Manage risk by monitoring the quality of results, market conditions and key performance indicators (KPIs), and by taking appropriate action.</li>
<li>Resolve contentious and complex issues directly with clients or stakeholders, engaging additional internal and external resources as necessary.</li>
<li>Develop and oversee data collection and leverage information to develop strategies to improve outcomes.</li>
</ul>
<p> <b>What you should have:</b><br />
 </p>
<ul>
<li>An undergraduate degree in a related field, such as business administration, finance or commerce.</li>
<li>A minimum of seven years experience delivering a product or service, including five years experience in a leadership role.</li>
<li>An experience in supporting complex construction funding commitments.</li>
<li>A strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>An exceptional ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment with the ability to lead others in times of change.</li>
<li>A strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to influence, persuade others and present information to a variety of audiences in both official languages (English and French).</li>
<li>A well-developed research and data collection and intelligence-gathering skills.</li>
<li>The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.</li>
</ul>
<p> It would be great if you also had:<br />

<li>A strong knowledge of community housing and/or on-reserve housing as well as knowledge and understanding of CMHC housing programs and social and affordable housing management principles and processes.</li>
