<p> <b>About the Role</b></p>
<p> We are looking for a passionate experienced Occupational Health Physician, who can confidently partner our NHS clients to provide a high-quality customer service. Credibility and relationship building is key. This can be a very rewarding role; you will need to combine your clinical knowledge with a detailed understanding of employment and anti-discrimination legislation as well as environmental and health and safety law.</p>
<p> Working within a team of OH Physicians the role will be based in the Bedfordshire area with some travel throughout the Bedfordshire required. You will support a range of clients and industries, including a university.</p>

<p> <b>Responsibilities:</b><br />
 </p>
<ul>
<li>Fitness for work medical examinations.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Sickness Absence and wellbeing consultations.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Assessment of pre-placement suitability.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ill health retirement cases.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Health Surveillance.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>HAVS assessments (attendance on relevant courses can be arranged if not already accredited).</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Carry out assessments/case management of complex and/or long-term cases referred by the OHA, ER/HR or business managers.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Carry out on line placement medical screening assessments</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Assist in monitoring OH provision, supervision and quality control of OH &; corporate health services and patient satisfaction.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Assist and advise OHM and OHA in management of their cases</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Monitoring and recording of statistical information for reporting to HR</li>
</ul>

<li>Primary Medical Degree, MBBS</li>
</ul>

<li>Full registration with the UK GMC</li>

<li>Qualified in Occupational Health Medicine (Diploma or MSc essential, MFOM preferred)</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ideally experience of providing OH services in the corporate sector.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Excellent verbal and written English communication skills</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Excellent interpersonal skills.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Client focused.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Commercially aware.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Full UK driving licence and car.</li>
</ul>
