Barcelona secured a hard-fought 4-1 win over Girona, reclaiming a three-point lead over Real Madrid at the top of La Liga.
The Blaugrana started strongly, with Fermin Lopez, Robert Lewandowski, and Lamine Yamal all going close.
Their persistence paid off just before halftime when Yamal’s free-kick deflected off Ladislav Krejci and found the net.
Girona responded after the break through Arnaut Danjuma, who capitalized on a high press to slot past Wojciech Szczesny.
But Barcelona regained control as Lewandowski volleyed home in the 63rd minute after Fermin’s header looped toward him at the back post.
Despite Girona’s attacking intent, Frenkie de Jong sparked another counter, setting up Lewandowski for his second.
Substitute Ferran Torres later sealed the win with a composed finish from inside the box.
Barcelona have now recorded 17 wins and three draws in 2025, while Girona’s struggles continue, extending their winless streak to seven games.
