Your assignment
Reporting to the Manager of Operational Tools & Technology (OTT), you will be responsible for –
- managing and supporting our internal Atlassian tools and infrastructure
- taking a lead in delivering, implementing, and supporting Atlassian-related business needs to help Valiantys reach our overall goals, objectives and to optimise the current setup by implementing new releases, features, and functionality.
As a faithful defender of the Atlassian tools, you will become one of the key focal points of the Atlassian stack.
You can be based in any country where we have an office.
Things you’ll be working on
The Atlassian Operations Engineer will:
- Work closely with the Manager of OTT and Director of OTT to:
– Deliver projects and initiatives, based on priorities set out by the OTT Team
– Interface with teams across all business units and departments within Valiantys
– Gather requirements and liaise directly with business stakeholders
– Manage the internal Atlassian tools and infrastructure
– Improve existing Atlassian setup and configuration
– Implement and support new releases and upgrades
– Monitor and optimize Atlassian product usage, from both a performance and cost standpoint
- Be able to work autonomously, with the support of the OTT Team
- Be able to communicate clearly, in order to convey complex technical concepts effectively, at times to a non-technical audience
- Be able to learn and independently conduct extensive research, and synthesize ideas, information, and options.
What you need to be successful
*To be really comfortable in this role, you need to have Atlassian Admin level experience with the following Atlassian products: Jira Software, JSM (including Assets), Confluence, Bitbucket, and used to working with both Cloud and DC/Server versions of the Atlassian products
- Be comfortable within a Linux environment (e.g. Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS), the accessing REST APIs programmatically as well as having have a good understanding of JSON and XML structures / schemas
- Groovy, AD/LDAP, Bash or SQL hold no secrets for you and you can handle Cloud computing technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud or DigitalOcean, it could be perfect if you had the opportunity to manage Atlassian migrations.
- Business-level English is imperative!
It could be the perfect match if you also :
- Have experience at Admin level on : Crowd and Trello
- Know how use common Atlassian apps such as Advanced Roadmaps, Tempo, eazyBI, ScriptRunner, JMWE, JSU and Elements Connect/Copy & Sync
- Have an hands-on experience building solutions using AWS EC2, RDS, S3 or API Gateway
