<p><b>Job Description</b></p>
<p><b>What you will be doing:</b></p>
<p> Reporting to the Laundry Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: </p>
<ul>
<li>Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service</li>
<li>Follow departmental policies, procedures, and service standards</li>
<li>Ensure the upkeep of all Laundry/Valet areas in respect to complete care, cleanliness and maintenance</li>
<li>Train and supervise all employees within Laundry/Valet department</li>
<li>Work with employees on a daily basis to upgrade skills and decision making</li>
<li>Monitor health and safety regulations and W.H.I.M.S. training</li>
<li>Active supporter of hotel committees</li>
<li>Ensure all equipment within the department is maintained and is in good working order</li>
<li>General office administration, which includes town contracts, payroll, scheduling, ordering supplies and inventory control</li>
<li>Performance evaluation of all Laundry/Valet colleagues</li>
<li>Conduct and follow up on monthly communication meetings</li>
<li>Ensure all areas of food &; beverage, housekeeping and linen closets are stocked and maintained</li>
<li>Ensure guest requests are dealt with in a timely manner</li>
<li>Assume the operations in the absence of the Laundry Manager</li>
<li>Adhere to the hotels vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guests vehicles</li>
<li>Follow policies, procedures and service standards</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Qualifications</b></p>
<p> Your experience and skills include: </p>
<ul>
<li>Previous supervisory experience required</li>
<li>Laundry experience an asset</li>
<li>Valid Alberta driver’s license required, ability to drive standard vehicle an asset</li>
<li>Able to work flexible hours over a 24 hour period</li>
<li>Strong problem solving skills with the ability to make decisions</li>
<li>Must be in good physical condition</li>
<li>Excellent communication and organizational skills</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities</li>
<li>Highly responsible &; reliable</li>
<li>Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment</li>
<li>Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervisor</li>
<li>Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times</li>
</ul>
<p> Your team and working environment: </p>
<ul>
<li>Walking: 6-8 hrs/day</li>
<li>Standing: 4-6 hr/day</li>
<li>Bending/Reaching: 6-8 hrs/day</li>
<li>Pushing/Pulling: 1-2 hrs/day</li>
<li>Physical Effort: Required to lift up to 50-80 lbs</li>
<li>Environmental Stress: high-works in hot/cold conditions, high noise level, work with hazardous machinery, constantly going in and out of buildings</li>
<li>Fast-paced, upscale, luxury hotel</li>
<li>Close proximity to Marmot Basin Ski Resorts in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summer</li>
