<p><a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/arsenal"><strong>Arsenal</strong></a> sealed a 5-1 aggregate win over <strong>Real Madrid</strong> to book their place in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.</p>
<p>This follows a 2-1 second-leg victory at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday night.</p>
<p>Mikel Arteta’s side, already leading 3-0 from the first leg in London, produced a composed and disciplined performance to see off the 15-time European champions.</p>
<p>Bukayo Saka had the chance to open the scoring in the first half but saw his Panenka penalty saved by Thibaut Courtois.</p>
<p>Shortly after, Real Madrid were awarded a penalty of their own when Declan Rice was deemed to have fouled Kylian Mbappe, but VAR overturned the decision.</p>
<p>Saka made amends in the second half, latching onto a perfectly-weighted pass from Martin Odegaard to lift the ball over Courtois and extend Arsenal’s lead.</p>
<p>However, William Saliba’s error gifted Vinicius Jr. an equaliser minutes later, offering Madrid a glimmer of hope.</p>
<p>Despite the setback, Arsenal regained control and saw out the tie professionally.</p>
<p>Gabriel Martinelli sealed the win in stoppage time with a breakaway goal, capping a historic night for the North London club.</p>
<p>The result sends Arsenal into their first Champions League semi-final since 2009, where they will face Paris Saint-Germain.</p>
