Our client, a specialist in the LED lighting market in the UK, is recruiting for an experienced Regional Sales Manager. Their Head Office is based in Hertfordshire, however the role is based in Scotland with the ideal candidate also being centrally based in Scotland.
Are you a skilled communicator with the proven ability to build strong relationships with customers, directors, colleagues and various other functions? If so, this role could be for you.
You will be responsible for delivering year-on-year sales growth through the development of sales plans to support long term, sustainable growth in line with business objectives. This is to be achieved by building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new customers with the objective of generating sales and prospecting new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
o The direct/indirect sale of the Company’s products to existing and new wholesale customers.
o Open new customer accounts with distributors, wholesalers or retailers.
o Develop business within new product groups which the Company bring to market on an ongoing basis.
o Develop business opportunities with key contacts to enable and facilitate growth.
o Respond to and follow-up of sales enquiries by post, telephone and personal visits.
o Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
o To support and actively participate in training, sales presentations, light fairs and trade shows.
o To take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and of other persons.
Ideal Candidate (Essential):
o A proven track record as a sales professional demonstrating a strong understanding of LED and electronics, wholesale and public sector knowledge and experience.
o Proven experience of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets within the commercial and/or environmental lighting industry.
o Strong experience of collaborating with wholesalers, contractors, consultants, architects and end users.
o Computer literate, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite and SalesForce.
o Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
o A clean full UK driving license.
Preferred:
o A degree or an equivalent qualification within a technical discipline.
o LIF qualified.
o Experience of conducting energy audits.
o Experience of creating lighting designs using Relux or Dialux.
Expected salary: £45000 per year
