<p> <b>About the role</b><br />
 <br /> Join the Housing Economics and Insights sector as an Analyst, Data Analytics and Reporting. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day reporting requirements that satisfy business needs including the operationalization of reports, dashboards and the development of data sets for further research. You will provide a high level of support for the development of data-driven insights to help identify trends, opportunities and provide opportunities and recommendations for improvement based on these insights.</p>
<p> This is a temporary position for a duration of 12 months.</p>
<p> <b>What you&#8217;ll do:</b><br />
 </p>
<ul>
<li>Perform research and analysis on industry standards, changes to guidelines and regulations that impact the provision of CMHC products, programs and/or services.</li>
<li>Collaborate with and provide analytical and data support to peers, by ensuring data is structured and stored in a clear and understandable fashion.</li>
<li>Escalate potential recommendations based on report and data findings to the Manager.</li>
<li>Ensure data is accurate and valid by conducting quality checks and being attentive to detail.</li>
<li>Use appropriate analytical tools to perform data extraction and curation in support of team initiatives and business needs.</li>
<li>Maintain a centralized reporting system within the universe of corporate management and financial reports (internal and external) and scorecards.</li>
</ul>
<p> <b>What you should have:</b><br />
 </p>
<ul>
<li>An undergraduate degree in engineering, science, business administration, economics, mathematics or statistics or a related field.</li>
<li>Expertize in the standard Microsoft suite, SAS and other tools such as open source tools (R, Python) and data visualization (Power BI, Tableau).</li>
<li>A minimum of one year of related experience in data analysis.</li>
<li>Awareness of CMHC&#8217;s mandate and strong ability to understand the organization&#8217;s objectives.</li>
<li>Strong data analysis, data verification and problem-solving abilities.</li>
<li>Effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to present complex ideas with clarity.</li>
<li>Sound analytical skills with demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize information to develop recommendations and provide advice.</li>
</ul>
<p> It would be great if you also had:<br />

<li>Knowledge and understanding of Building Sciences such as engineering, architecture, or construction are considered an asset.</li>
</ul>
